Icons of Wrestling Art Project is a series of 7 paintings created by sports artist Jeff McNutt. Each painting is created in color and composition based on interviews with each wrestler. These are amazing pieces of art ones that I’d love to have on my wall.
“BRANDS USA 1996″, by artists Jeff McNutt & Chad Beatty, is about dominating an opponent and leaving it all on the mat. In the end, this painting expresses the pinnacle of Tom Brand’s training and wrestling career by winning the Olympic Gold Medal in 1996. Tom shared with me “I expected to win. When it was over, it was very gratifying. Winning the gold medal was what I set out to do.”
