Hey Guys, J.D. Oliva here.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to announce the first group of casting choices for our film 7 Minutes.
Jeff Harrison, formerly of the Univeristy of Northern Iowa, has landed our starring role. The former American Idol contestant, who complied 25-5 record while competing for the Panthers at 149 pounds this season, absolutley blew us away during his audition. Harrison will be joined by teammate Steve Ertl. The former Colorado state champion had far and away the most impressive audition of the day, winning a role that had the most competition.
Matt Murray of the University of Nebraska has also accepted a part in 7 Minutes. The former NCAA Runner-up at 141 lbs., will play our University’s assistant coach. Matt was also very impressive in his audition considering he has had no previous acting experience.
Doug LeClair, former Head Coach at Logan High School in Lacrosse, Wisconsin was easy choice when casting our Head Coach. Doug literally is the man he will be portraying in the film. His enegry and excitement will be huge benefit to our feature.
Jennifer Kiefer, an exceptionally talented young lady, whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with in the past, will be playing the story’s love interest. Jennifer has the most extensive acting background on this production and her experience will be a great asset. Plus, she isn’t too sore on the eyes, either.
Former Augustana (IL) University wrestler Rob Golombek will play the rival to Harrison’s character. I’ve known Rob personally for a number of years and I can tell you that he was born to play this role.
Former NCAA Champion and Real Pro Wrestling Competitor Tony Davis and Missouri Baptist University Assistant Coach James Gianoulakis will be extensively featured in non-speaking, yet extremely vital roles. We’re exactic to have them both a part of this film.
Rounding out our cast will be my fellow producer, former teammate and Illinois state champion Matt Kucala. Those of you who have never had a chance to meet Matt or his “alter ego “(more on that later) will surely be entertained by a new feature that will be available on our website next week. “Matt Kucala’s Video Diary “will give people a unique behind the scenes look at the making of this film told from the perspective of one the most interesting (shall we say) people I’ve ever met.
That’s our cast so far, however we still have a few roles that need to be filled, so Infinite Entertainment will be holding a SECOND Open Audition for 7 Minutes. Again, the audition will be held at the Congress Plaza Hotel in downtown Chicago, Illinois (520 S. Michigan Ave.). The date of the audition will be April 30th at 10 am and I hope to see a few of the people who emailed me saying that they would be attending our last audition and yet for some reason didn’t show up. We are particularly looking for middle-age gentleman and someone to play the part of our African-American 125 lbs.
Any and all question should be sent to me at [email protected]
