Iowa State Olympic gold medal-winning wrestlers to be honored
AMES, Iowa The five living Iowa State Olympic gold medal-winning wrestlers will be honored in Ames June 17th.
Being honored at the dinner are Glen Brand, Dan Gable, Ben Peterson, Kevin Jackson and Cael Sanderson.
Brand won gold at the 1948 Games in London; Gable and Peterson won in 1972 in Munich, Germany; Jackson in 1992 in Barcelona, Spain; and Sanderson took home the gold last summer in Athens, Greece.
The dinner is open to the public. Tickets cost 75 dollars each or 550 dollars for a table of eight. Proceeds will go to the I-S-U wrestling program.
