Patrick Ziemnik – St. Edward High School
Patrick Ziemnik has made his mark as a student and as a community volunteer.
The St. Edward High School student is first in his class and has earned the highest honors every year he has been in the Lakewood private school.
He is president of the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society and was elected consul of the Latin Club.
“Patrick’s good nature, poise, character and confidence make him a natural leader, “said Geoff Morton, the school’s director of college counseling.
The son of James and Veronica Ziemnik of Cleveland, Patrick has been on the varsity wrestling team for four years, is editor of the school’s literary magazine and took second place in the national Latin translation contest.
As a volunteer, he has worked at the Ronald McDonald House, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections and the St. Edward Wrestling Camp
And in his role as student ambassador, he helps host prospective students and visitors to St. Edward. He also is a “big brother “to four freshmen, helping them adjust to the rigors and routines of high school.
