A four-time NCAA Division III qualifier, he earned all-America honors with a second-place finish in the 149-pound weight class at the 2002 championships, which were held at the First Union Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre Township, and earned all-America status with a fourth-place finish, again at 149 pounds, in 2004.
