COLUMBUS, OH ” Rulon Gardner, 2000 Olympic Gold Medal Wrestling Champion and 2004 Olympic Bronze Medalist, will be the keynote speaker at the 2005 Ohio Turfgrass Conference & Show, Dec. 6-8 in Columbus, OH. Gardner’s speech is scheduled for 4 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 8 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
Now a motivational speaker, Rulon Gardner stunned the world when he won the Gold Medal at the 2000 Olympics, beating the previously unbeaten Russian champion Karelin. In 2001, he was world-champion, and despite losing a toe to frostbite in a snowmobile accident, came back to win the Bronze Medal in the 2004 Olympics.
Now in its 39th year, the Ohio Turfgrass Conference & Show will have displays of the latest services and products from 250 leading turfgrass suppliers in turfgrass management for golf courses, athletic fields, commercial grounds and residential lawns and landscapes. The three-day exhibition also includes more than 90 hours of educational sessions covering a broad spectrum of turf management topics.
