Anthony Robles, the Senior National champion at 112 pounds, will throw out the first pitch at the Arizona Diamonbacks Major League Baseball game against the San Francisco Giants.
Robles went 53-0 en route to an Arizona state championship before his historic win at the NHSCA Senior Nationals in Pittsburgh. Robles went 131-15 in high school.
Robles was unbeaten his last two seasons in Arizona, posting a 96-0 record and capturing two state championships.
He was named the Class 5A Most Outstanding Wrestler at this year’s state tournament and the Arizona Republic tabbed him as its Wrestler of the Year.
“I think God gave me a gift by only giving me one leg, “Robles said after winning his national title. “Other people may not see it that way, but I do.”
