Remarks: This position is in the Excepted Civil Service. The initial appointment is for 3 years. This is a TERM appointment. Anticipated hire date is 7 August 2006. Reappointments of up to three years in length will be based upon assessment of performance, Air Force and departmental needs and funding availability.

This position is located in the Directorate of Athletics, Department of Physical Education, United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs Colorado
Major Duties
Responsibilities include serving as a staff member in the Physical Education Department and performing faculty duties. Will teach undergraduate courses in Physical Education, manage and instruct competitive athletic programs, perform departmental duties, promote professional activities in area of athletic specialization (wrestling); and participate in course and curriculum development. Serves as Head Coach of an NCAA Division I men’s wrestling team and recruits academically and athletically qualified athletes in compliance with the NCAA and Mountain West Conference.
Qualifications Required
Minimum requirement is a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of college teaching or demonstrated experience and proficiency in the field of specialization – Wrestling. Successful candidates will be those that have knowledge of NCAA Division I guidelines for eligibility/recruiting,demonstrated experience in coaching, and college level teaching in the field or coaching experience.

This is a term appointment not to exceed 30 June 2009. This position is in the Excepted Service.
