High school wrestling starts on Monday, and I can’t believe how much I miss it. Picking up wrestling was the best choice I ever made and I recommend it to the people who are stuck between basketball and no winter sport, there is another option. I was TERRIBLE when I started. I won two matches between 7th grade and sophomore year, but once you understand that you get out of it what you put into it, you’ll start picking up wins. Between junior and senior year, I was 44-13, wrestling kids from all school divisions and multiple states, making it to state my junior year, and placing my senior year. Remember, why sit on the bench and watch your team play basketball, when you can be out on the mat, competing on the mat at a varsity level, no matter what your skill level is. #wrestling #flashback #friday via ray_compton
