Igali boosts Wrestling with N100m Academy

Enewari”The proposed Daniel Igali Wrestling Academy in Bayelsa State will gulp over an estimated N100m when completed.
The project which is expected to expose the relevance of the game to Bayelsans and Nigerians in general according to the initiator of the project, Mr. Daniel Igali, is begging for the right environment to take off and asking local investors to be part of the epoch making venture.
Conducting newsmen round the project site of the Maureen Matheny Model Primary School in Enewari, Southern Ijaw local government area of the state, Bayelsa born Canadian Olympic gold medalist said the school would enrol its first batch of pupils in the next academic session as work would have been completed by September this year.
The sprawling edifice at roofing stage, a pet project of the wrestler to actualize his vision in the advancement of quality education in the hinterland of the predominantly riverine state, SportsVanguard gathered, would serve as a gateway between Nigeria, Canada and the rest of the western world.
Igali noted that his dream is to see graduates of the institution do well comparatively with students already exposed to modern technology across the world.
“I am fired to start the school project by the sufferings of the rural setting and lack of infrastructure in the educational system where I grew up. Scholarships will do a lot to help bridge the gap so that potential sportsmen and women can have the advantage of passing through with academic excellence, “he said adding that “the National University Games should open up and accommodate more sports which will increase the in take of sports people in the universities”.
He commended the state government and all those who stood by him in making the project a reality especially Paul Nemeth, an associate friend who donated $50,000.
