My Road To Rio has come to an end. I have fought a good fight. With a heavy heart, I finish my wrestling career. This is not how I wanted it to end, but it’s what God intended. I have fallen short of my goal to represent the US in 2016 Olympic Games, but the journey to this point was amazing. I was blessed enough to win 2 National Titles and represent my country at the Junior & University World Championships in 2012 along with many other tournaments. The New York Athletic Club took me in and paid for most of my expenses. Marquette, Michigan changed from a place I wanted to go to, to a place where I lived, to a place I couldn’t wait to see again. I have made numerous friends because of this sport. I gave it all I had, even though it wasn’t enough. But, I got to live out my dream. Thank you to everyone who believed in me. I officially retire from competitive Olympic Wrestling. #IHaveFinishedTheRace #IHaveFoughtTheGoodFight #LastChance #RoadToRio #OlympicDreams #NYAC #NMUOTS #USOTS #USOEC #FCS #SD #305 #VTGB #JungleFitness #AesthleticsCo #ThereIsAReasonWhy #IWillNeverForgetYou #LeavingMyShoes #CenterOfTheMat via nickstrrr
